GIS Data on GROMIT
For users with an MVZ intranet account, login and access the GIS directory via: \\gromit.mvz.berkeley.edu\GISDataPortal\
If you have ArcGIS 9.*- 10 installed, then use ArcCatalog to browse, preview data, and copy to your local harddrive. First time users will have to make a new Folder Connection (File>Connect Folder or the shortcut button), then copy the path above into the browse window. The network path will show as a drive option in the directory tree panel.
Both spatial data for research projects and general use layers are archived here. Check metadata and readme files in directories to understand what you are getting. Please copy to your local computer to use.
